UPN has expanded its network to 100 members, which it said reflected its reputation for exceptional service and coverage.
“We’ve come a long way since our inception in 2001,” said MD David Brown
“This is an important milestone for UPN. Each member of Team UPN is carefully selected to uphold our rigorous standards, ensuring that our customers receive the best pallet distribution services in the industry.”
UPN has seen eight new members join its network since April, including Jays Logistics, Home Counties Couriers, TWE Transport and Lakeland Commercials.
It also went carbon neutral this year, with all palletised freight deliveries in the UK undertaken on a carbon neutral basis: “UPN are working with Carbon Neutral Britain to offset our company’s carbon emissions by investing in carbon emissions offsetting programmes upfront for each financial quarter so deliveries are offset in real time.as a proactive measure to minimise our environmental impact,” Brown added.
Earlier this week, the network said investment in both personnel and infrastructure had been made in response to an increase in volumes amid the Covid pandemic.
It was commenting following its financial results for the year ending 31 March 2024, which showed pre-tax profit had almost halved to £2.8m.
