MicroVolt has launched a five vehicle portfolio into the UK market, targeting parcel operators, local authorities and other companies requiring low carbon last mile deliveries.
The Sussex-based micro-electric vehicle supplier, which aims to become the UK’s go-to specialist in last mile delivery and fleet solutions, is bringing to market a range which spans cargo bikes, mopeds, three-wheel utility vehicles, and micro vans – all purpose-built for urban deliveries.
Announcing the launch today (27 February), MicroVolt said: “With Clean Air Zones spreading across UK cities, fuel and operating costs rising, road traffic intensifying, and regulatory pressure to decarbonise commercial transport increasing, demand for practical, scalable electric alternatives has never been stronger.
“MicroVolt’s answer is a focused portfolio of micro-electric vehicles compact enough for the busiest, tightest urban environments, capable enough for daily commercial duty, and economical enough to transform fleet operating costs from day one.”
The company said that, unlike generalist EV distributors, MicroVolt has been built from the ground up as a micro-electric vehicle specialist, focused exclusively on urban deliveries.
It is the UK exclusive importer for the Benzina Zero electric vehicle range – bringing Australian-designed electric mopeds and cargo bikes to UK business customers for the first time – and the exclusive UK distributor for the Vectrix i-Cargo, a three-wheel electric utility vehicle deployed across Asian markets.
The company said these vehicles, plus the Derry Neomor D01 micro electric van (pictured), give MicroVolt a “unique advantage” in the UK MEV market, providing compact, agile MEVs purpose-designed for dense city environments, narrow streets, and congested delivery zones where larger vehicles cannot operate effectively.
MicroVolt is targeting six sectors, including courier services, parcel operators, and last mile companies facing Clean Air Zone compliance pressure and rising diesel/maintenance costs, and councils seeking affordable fleet decarbonisation without capital-intensive EV infrastructure.
The five vehicles include:
- Derry Neomor D01: Micro electric van | 290 kg payload | 1.8 m³ cargo | 74-mile range
- Vectrix i-Cargo: 3-wheel utility vehicle | 235 kg payload | 93-mile range
- Benzina Zero Duo: 1,200W motor electric moped | 192 kg payload | 65-mile range
- Benzina Zero Duo+: 1,500W motor electric moped | 192 kg payload | 59-mile range
- Benzina Zero HAULeR: 250W electric cargo bike | 130 kg payload | 62-mile range
All vehicle ranges have been field-tested and commercially deployed in international markets with strong track records in demanding urban business conditions.
Nathalie Hayes, MicroVolt director, said: “The UK last-mile delivery and fleet market has been waiting for an MEV specialist. There are plenty of generalist EV distributors, but nobody has focused exclusively on micro electric vehicles for urban business and built a complete fleet ecosystem around it.
“We are not competing with full-size electric vans – we are solving the problems they cannot: congested streets, Clean Air Zones, delivery density, and total cost of ownership. The micro electric vehicle is the right tool for the last mile, and MicroVolt is here to prove it.”
MicroVolt also provides every customer has access to a comprehensive end-to-end service covering vehicle selection and configuration, on-site demonstrations, vehicle fleet trials, scheduled servicing, MOT management, L-category regulatory compliance guidance, custom branding and livery, accessory fitting, fleet electrification consulting, operator training, and post-deployment operational reviews.
The company added that its goal is to act as a long-term strategic partner for organisations transitioning their operations to electric – not merely as a vehicle supplier.
