Hydrogen producer Llyfe has highlighted expansion in its logistics capabilities for green and RFNBO hydrogen market through bulk distribution in Europe, after it passed a lifetime total of 1,000 deliveries in 2025.
During the year, Lhyfe completed more than 850 deliveries across Europe, an increase of more than 80% compared with 2024. The company said it had significantly accelerated operations in France, Sweden and Germany, averaging 55 deliveries a month to mobility and industrial customers.
Lhyfe now operates four container sizes and two compression levels, supported by 15 container storage sites across Europe and partnerships with four transport providers specialising in hazardous materials transport.
The company said it had certified and trained 60 drivers for hydrogen container transport and delivery, covering operations at its own sites as well as partner and customer locations.
It has acquired 84 Type IV containers, which it said are lighter, more resistant and compliant with RFNBO certification requirements. The containers can withstand higher pressures, allowing more hydrogen to be transported per trip.
Lhyfe has also developed a suite of logistics tools to coordinate bulk hydrogen production and distribution, including demand forecasting, filling planning, compatibility management, production monitoring, carrier scheduling and customer information systems.
The company said green hydrogen was emerging as an alternative to fossil fuels and a complement to battery-electric solutions, particularly for applications requiring long range, fast refuelling or heavy loads, including trucks, vans, forklifts and other commercial vehicles.
Its mobility partners include BMW Group, TEAL Mobility and H2 Mobility.
On production, Lhyfe now claims 21MW of installed capacity after four sites in Pays de la Loire, Brittany, Occitanie and Baden-Württemberg gained RFNBO certification. It expects capacity to increase by 70% in 2026, while using partnerships with local third-party producers where it does not yet have its own production capability.
Lhyfe founder and chief executive Matthieu Guesné said developing the hydrogen supply chain was essential to the growth of the sector.
“The bulk market is the first to scale up — it is already enabling pioneering players to initiate their energy transition,” he said.
