XPO Logistics has appointed Emmanuel Arnaud as operations director for Europe with immediate effect as the logistics giant ramps up its growth strategy.
Arnaud joins from GEFCO where he was chief executive of the company's road, air and sea freight, and customs and logistics operations.
He will report to Luis Gomez, XPO’s president for Europe, and will serve on the executive board of the European business.
In his new role Arnaud brings extensive experience in the transport and logistics industry. He began his career in France with Groupe Giraud, and then served as general manager of TNT Logistics entities, providing just-in-time supply management for the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and automotive sectors.

He also held a number of senior positions within GEFCO over a period of 18 years. Before becoming GEFCO CEO of road, air and sea freight, and customs and logistics operations, Arnaud was responsible for establishing a customer-centric culture that aligned GEFCO’s sales and marketing operations in 40 countries and developed blue chip account relationships.
Arnaud also holds a master’s degree in corporate finance from Institut Mines-Télécom Business School and a bachelor’s degree in law from Université d'Évry.
