XPO said it had simplified customers’ freight shipments to countries throughout Europe by consolidating processes and reducing intermediaries.
Its new service, Connect Europe, uses a single point of contact for single pallets to full load shipments, with the aim of making international freight movements more accessible to all sizes of company.
Emmanuel Arnaud, XPO Logistics senior VP of operations, said: “We recognise that it is imperative for companies to rethink logistics to successfully manage unprecedented volume volatility.
“Disruptions such as Brexit, the Covid-19 pandemic, the sea freight crisis and, more recently, the need for businesses to adapt to an inflationary environment have all accelerated the nearshoring of production chains to Europe and North Africa while forcing the redefinition of continental supply chains.”
Arron Kendall, Senior VP of Sales and marketing for Europe at XPO Logistics, added: “As we face unprecedented logistics challenges, Connect Europe is helping businesses adapt and thrive in terms of speed, traceability, and sustainability.
“We are simplifying and optimising international transport to facilitate our customers’ growth objectives.”
