Wilmotts Transport in Somerset has taken delivery of 60 high-spec Tiger curtainsiders to support a new contract win.
It takes the company’s fleet to over 250 trailers, 80% of which have been supplied by the Cheshire-based builder over the last five years.
The warehousing and distribution specialist said the latest delivery came after securing a new contract with a corrugated cardboard manufacturer when it required new trailers within a short space of time.
Tiger was able to meet the requirements, with half of the batch standard-height curtainsiders and the other half coming in at 4.7m to cater for the end user’s variable cargo sizes.
The trailers’ specification includes Wabco’s EBS braking system, Axcsend’s BPMS, a reversing camera, two LED reversing lamps and a branch guard fitted to the header.
“They will look really striking out on the road and provide first-class representation when delivering for our customers,” said group MD Andy Stott.
“Our BRCGS certification extends to our own fleet, so it is important for our customers to know that their goods are being carried in clean, new vehicles by a reliable supply chain partner.
“Our trailers demonstrate a strong brand and the partnership we have developed over many years with Tiger Trailers is one we value.”
