Morley, Leeds-based transport and storage firm Wood Logistics & Lifting has become the latest company in the industry to appoint administrators.

Records showed Sean Williams and Phil Deyes at Leonard Curtis were appointed to the business on 18 June, although it is unclear whether it has stopped trading entirely.

When Motor Transport phoned the West Yorkshire haulier, we were told to contact director Paul Wood, although he had yet to respond as we went to press.

Leonard Curtis did not respond to our enquiries.

Wood Logistics & Lifting was established in 2017 after brothers Paul and Darren bought the business of CIS Industrial from administrators.

They had both been employees of that company for over 25 years.

It specialises in lifting work and abnormal loads transport and holds a licence authorising a total of 13 HGVs and 15 trailers running out of three operating centres in Batley, Cleckheaton and Morley.

Its last set of accounts, covering the year ending 29 February 2025, showed that it employed 20 staff, up from 15 the year before.
