Volvo said used trucks customers buying one of its approved grade vehicles can now extend the driveline warranty up to 36 months, at the point of purchase.

It said the move showed Volvo Used Trucks’ confidence in the quality of its approved vehicles, thanks to a comprehensive 200-point inspection and full cosmetic check.

The manufacturer added that an approved model was the most popular grade of truck sold by Volvo Used Trucks and came as standard with a comprehensive 12-month, or 180,000km, Volvo Driveline-Pro warranty included in the price.

Carl White, used truck director, said: “We take huge pride in our vehicle preparation and there’s no scrimping or saving; if something needs doing, it gets done regardless of cost.

“Extending the available warranty on our Volvo approved models sends a clear message of our trust in the assets we are selling.

“Our level of cover is more comprehensive than any warranty we’re aware of for trucks of this age or mileage.”
