Transport management platform Transporeon, a Trimble company, has launched a suite of new AI-powered tools aimed at delivering a fully modular, end-to-end transportation management system (TMS).
Announced at the company’s annual summit at the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam, the release includes the new Transport Planner solution, which Transporeon says can generate optimal transport plans at a fraction of the cost of traditional systems.
The company said the new features allow for a more intelligent, integrated, and adaptable TMS environment that benefits both shippers and carriers.
Transporeon also rolled out updates across its Freight Marketplace, Dock & Yard Management, and Execution & Visibility tools, each now enhanced with next-generation AI and automation.
“The logistics landscape demands solutions that are intelligent and increasingly interconnected,” said Jonah McIntire (pictured), chief product and technology officer, transportation & logistics at Trimble. “Our latest innovations deliver a truly agile TMS, built for the AI age. By seamlessly integrating planning, network execution and enhanced real-time visibility, we give our customers unprecedented control throughout their entire transportation cycle.”
The enhanced TMS leverages AI in practical ways across the transport journey. This includes fully automated workflows for spot procurement and quotation, AI-enabled carrier vetting and onboarding, predictive recommendations for lane rates, and dynamic forecasts of exact arrival and departure times.
According to Transporeon, the new Transport Assignment solution now integrates both Autonomous Procurement and Autonomous Quotation features, allowing users to manage and automate the full spot shipment process - quoting, negotiating, and assigning- from a single entry point. This is intended to streamline operations and reduce manual effort for all parties involved.
Updates to the Transporeon Visibility solution include advanced tracking features for both ocean and air freight, including demurrage and detention management, to give customers complete, real-time shipment oversight from origin to destination. The company’s Freight Marketplace now includes a next-generation Freight Procurement tool, which applies data science and AI to support smarter decision-making for both shippers and carriers. It also features expanded multi-lane RFQ capabilities for strategic tendering and enhanced integration with Transporeon’s Market Insight tool.
In yard operations, the upgraded Time Slot Management tool provides a single access point for carriers to help optimize yard flow. The newly introduced Yard Pre-Check-In and Digital Transport Documents features allow for fully automated and paperless truck processing, which the company says reduces waiting times and increases warehouse productivity.
The company cited early customer results, including a 20% increase in loading capacity using the Time Slot Management tool, and a 40% reduction in order status queries with Transporeon Visibility.
“Transporeon’s TMS enables our customers to easily adapt the system to their needs, increasing agility and lowering costs,” added Philipp Pfister, sector vice president at Transporeon. “This marks a milestone in our journey: we’ve established the foundation and now we’re unlocking the platform’s full potential with enhanced AI-driven capabilities that deliver real impact. The value isn’t just in our advanced, adaptable tools, but in the exponential benefits our customers gain from connecting to a single, vast network of shippers, carriers and forwarders. We empower our customers, and in doing so, our entire network grows stronger.”
