AWJ Penrith and Onroute Avon Lodge have been voted as the country’s best large and medium-sized truck stops respectively.

JDR Trans’ site at Brewers Farm in Orsett was named the best UK small truck stop in SNAP’s inaugural ‘Haul of Fame’ awards, based on votes from more than 2,500 drivers.

Lymm Truckwash snapped up UK’s best truck wash and the most improved truck stop was given to Bransons Cross Truck Park in Redditch.

SNAP said across the winning sites, drivers consistently highlighted high standards of cleanliness, strong security, quality facilities and a welcoming atmosphere as key factors influencing their votes.

SNAP also created an Unsung hero category and Jason Leake of TruckLifeGB walked away with the award.

Leake was widely praised for supporting drivers’ mental health, offering advice, and giving up his time to help others feel less isolated.

Drivers described him as “always there for someone in the industry to talk to” and a trusted source of support and guidance.
