Geoff Tomlinson, MD of Cardiff freight forwarder and haulier FSEW, has been named the number 1 Decarbonisation Power Player in the fourth annual Motor Transport rankings of the most influential people leading the charge towards net zero in the road transport industry.

The rest of the top five in the listing of 25 Power Players chosen by a panel of expert judges was made up of Dave Rose, CEO of Voltloader, Ben Garner, head of logistics development and standards at Tarmac, Kate Broome, sustainability and social impact director of Kuehne+Nagel and Carlos Rodrigues, MD of Renault Trucks.

The Power Players, sponsored by Bridgestone and Optimize, were selected from a long list of nominations by Sukky Choongh, policy lead for air quality, regional engagement, heavy duty vehicles and sustainability at the SMMT, Sam Clarke, chief vehicle officer at Gridserve and last year’s number 1 Power Player, Matthew Adams, head of transport and innovation at the Renewable Energy Association and Andy Salter, MD and editor of Freight Carbon Zero.
