A Stoke-based driver training firm that also offers haulage services has collapsed into administration.

UK Drivers and Logistics Solutions called in the administrators on Monday (23 March), although its current trading status is unknown.

When Motor Transport contacted the company we were told only its director Rob Dookie could comment on the situation and he was unavailable.

Administrators at Currie Young in Stoke-on-Trent also said they were not yet in a position to respond.

The company started in 2019 and according to its website specialises in “the source and supply of experienced LGV and Non LGV drivers to meet your ad-hoc, temporary and permanent requirements”.

It added: “For many years, some of the country’s most prominent retailers, overnight carriers, distribution and manufacturing companies have relied on UK Drivers as their sole supplier of professional support personnel.”

Later in 2019 it also began offering express, timed and 24-hour courier collection and same/next day delivery services to the UK and Europe.

It currently holds an operator licence authorising 10 lorries and 10 trailers running out of a base on North Street in Stoke.

The company also offers Driver CPC courses.
