A Doncaster international haulage firm has lodged a notice of intention to appoint an administrator.
McGregor Logistics, which has more than 30 years of experience within transport and warehousing and was incorporated 20 years ago, filed the papers in court on Wednesday (2 October).
Its website said it offered full load deliveries, biomass sourcing and supply, pallet distribution, European haulage, warehousing and HGV servicing and repair.
“We have rapidly grown from a small, local haulage company to an international logistics provider,” it added.
It described itself as a Palletways member; however, the network told Motor Transport it left the group in September.
McGregor Logistics holds an international operator licence authorising a total of 50 HGVs and 100 trailers running out of two bases, in Doncaster and Scunthorpe.
It also has two bases in the East of England traffic area.
In 2020 it took out a three-year lease on a 40,000 sq ft unit at the St Modwen Park industrial estate and the following year it more than doubled its warehousing space after adding an additional 55,000 sq ft unit.
The most up to date accounts for the haulier showed that it had increased turnover and profits in the year ending 30 June 2022, with revenues up 14% to £20.4m and pre-tax profit increasing by almost £37,000 to £451,000.
It said it employed an average of 145 staff.
The company did not respond to comment.
