Exeter haulier and Palletways member STR Logistics has entered administration. The company, which employs around 80 staff and holds an operator licence authorising 20 HGVs and 12 trailers running out of its Alphington base, appointed administrators from insolvency firm SFP on 31 January.

The company was incorporated over 20 years ago and provides transport and logistics services including two-man home deliveries, pallet distribution, trunking, secure freight handling and first/last mile operations.

In November 2021, STR Logistics announced it had joined Palletways and had taken on distribution services across the 'English Riviera', as well as Teignmouth and Newton Abbott. At the time, MD Anthony Quinn said it was also opening a new office in Truro and further offices would be opened in 2022.

Palletways was unable to respond to a request for comment. Motortransport.co.uk also approached SFP and the haulage company for comment.
