Saint-Gobain has recognised the best and most sustainable drivers across its fleet at its annual driver of the year awards in Castle Donington, in partnership with XPO Logistics.
The 2025 event recognised drivers at all Saint-Gobain sites, including British Gypsum, Isover, Weber, PAM, Pasquill, Okarno and Glassolutions and saw the shortlist of 24 drivers take part in a series of challenges.
These tested the hopefuls on their skills, expertise, and professionalism, taking on a series of trials such as tight manoeuvring, reversing, spotting defects and dealing with customer delivery points.
Brian Fisher, head of distribution at Saint-Gobain, said: “It was great to see so many of our drivers from across Saint-Gobain in attendance, celebrating each other and their achievements.
“They are in front of customers every day, and to many, they are the public face of our business, delivering essential solutions to our customers every day.”
XPO MD Dan Myers added: “This event is about more than recognising individual excellence – it’s about celebrating a shared commitment to high standards.
“Together with Saint-Gobain, we’re proud to champion the professionalism and skill of the drivers who are at the heart of our service.”
