CV dealer Rygor Group said its truck and van sales teams continued to produce strong sales figures, as its latest set of accounts showed a 35% increase in profits.
For the year ending 30 April 2022, the company reported a £3.5m pre-tax profit, up from £2.6m in 2021.
Turnover fell by 17.6% during the period to £218.5m, but Rygor Group still described the last two years as “incredible”.
In a business review, it said: “Not only have we seen business profits increase, which is obviously cause for celebration, but what our team and our business has achieved recently is something we are all beyond proud of and nothing short of incredible.
“In an increasingly challenging vehicle sales market, our truck and van sales teams have continued to produce strong sales figures, with an increasing focus on electric vehicles.”
The group said it was investing in a new site in Reading due to open by the end of the year, with a truck workshop featuring two pits, ATF lane and tacho facility.
“The van workshop will boats an MOT lane and a ‘fast fit’ area, dedicated to express maintenance,” it added.
“Both van and truck workshops will be equipped to fully maintain electric vehicles, along with a large sales showroom which will showcase the full range of Mercedes-Benz vans.”
