Rowlinson Packaging in Cheshire has overhauled its entire fleet and ordered six new DAF CFs and 10 Lawrence David 4.7m trailers on contract hire.
The timber packaging firm said it had undertaken “a very thorough sweep of the market” to find the best value before coming to its decision.
“That doesn’t necessarily mean the lowest price of course, but Dawsongroup were very competitive, and given the strong service levels from them and their local service agents in the past, we were happy to commit for a further five years,” said Jim Morgan, Rowlinson fleet compliance manager.
The CF 480 FT tractor units and EN12642 XL trailers are all being supplied in Rowlinson’s blue and white livery.
