Fleet management provider Rivus Group has been appointed by DHL eCommerce UK to provide R&M on 733 trailers at a purpose-built vehicle maintenance unit (VMU) in Warwickshire.

The five-year contract starts in August at the Ryton-on-Dunsmore VMU and includes preparation and presentation for MOT and LOLER tests and management of the R&M schedule.

It is expected around 25 jobs will be created for the area in provision of this service.

The VMU, located within DHL’s new 25,000 sq m hub near Coventry Airport, is comprised of three pits and one hard standing bay and its 24/7 operation will ensure the DHL eCommerce trailer fleet meets safety and compliance requirements.

“This collaboration not only marks a significant milestone for Rivus HGV but underscores our position as a trusted industry leader,” said Dave Jones, MD of Rivus HGV.

“We are excited to embark on this journey, ensuring peak performance and reliability for DHL’s critical fleet operations. We look forward to a fruitful partnership and are excited to continue setting new standards of excellence together.”
