Wincanton has renewed its longstanding agreement with energy company Phillips 66 to distribute fuel to Jet forecourts.

The new contract expands and extends the logistics giant’s services, spanning transport operations for the distribution of commercial and retail fuels from terminals including Immingham, Kingsbury and Teesside to sites across the UK.

Wincanton added that as part of the contract expansion it would continue providing planning and scheduling services.

It will also take on 13 new staff as part of the transfer of operations for the distribution of fuels from the Bramhall Terminal in the north-west of England.

“Wincanton has provided services to Phillips 66 since 2001,” said Carl Hanson, transport MD.

“We look forward to welcoming our new colleagues as we continue to deliver for our customer across its vital transport services.”

The contract was last renewed in 2018.

Last week, Wincanton’s board unanimously recommended a £960m acquisition bid from GXO.
