Pall-Ex member Pegasus Express has now joined sister network Fortec in a move it hoped would maximise vehicle deliveries from the Midlands to Scotland.

The Scottish transport firm has been a member of Pall-Ex since 2011 and it said joining a second network meant it could expand its northern UK haulage pallet delivery options to a wider customer base.

Pegasus was originally established in 1983 to provide a courier service to Aberdeen’s oil industry but since then it has grown by adding depots in Inverness, Dundee, Glasgow, Preston and Birmingham and operates a fleet of over 60 HGVs.

Michael Giulianotti, operations director at Pegasus Express, said: “Being members of both networks gives us incredible access to the same award-winning IT, plus a range of pallet dimensions.

“The support we have had since we joined the Pall-Ex a few years ago is incredible and we are thrilled to be taking our next step on our journey with the group, as we combine freight from both hubs, running vehicles to their optimum capacity.”
