Whistl subsidiary Parcelhub has opened a new depot in Leeds to meet growing demand from West Yorkshire-based e-commerce retailers for its parcel consolidation and multi-carrier services.
The 11,000 sqft depot is located on the Confederation Park at Lowfields Road, close to the M621. Parcelhub has a second Yorkshire hub, located near Sheffield.
The site will initially be operated by 13 employees of which 10 are already working with the company. Parcelhub said that, as the site grows, the operations will generate more job opportunities which will include supervisors, collections drivers and warehouse operators.
Additional investment has been made in electric vehicle charging points for Parcelhub’s new Maxus eDeliver nine electric vans.
