Logistics firm Owens Group is continuing to expand its warehousing footprint after the company was awarded a "significant" contract expansion.
The llanelli-based haulier has signed a five-year lease for a for a 60,589 sq ft industrial warehouse at Aberaman Park Industrial Estate in South Wales.
Owens Group, which was launched by brothers Huw and Eurof Owens in 1972, with one van, now operates more than 1,000 vehicles and runs its operations across more than 2.5 million sq ft of warehousing throughout the UK.
Ian Owen, managing director at Owens Group, said: "This is another significant milestone in our growth trajectory and follows the recent acquisition of a 160,000 sq ft warehouse at Wales One in Magor, Monmouthshire, and a 95,000 sq ft new site in Cardiff Port.
