A Nottingham-based haulage firm established more than 40 years ago has filed an intention to appoint administrators.
Martyn Barratt Transport lodged the papers in court on 25 February via law firm Flint Bishop, protecting the business temporarily from any legal action from creditors.
No administrator has yet been formally appointed
The family-owned warehouse and distribution company was formed in 1985 and it holds a standard national licence authorising 35 HGVs and 35 trailers operating out of its Trowell depot.
It also runs 12 lorries out of two other operating centres in Long Eaton.
Its last published set of accounts showed that it employed 56 staff in the year ending 30 June 2024.
