Broughton Transport Solutions, the family-run, Wiltshire haulage firm, stood out as having added more vehicles to its fleet this week than any other company, MT’s latest data report showed.

The temperature-controlled and ambient transport business was given permission to operate an extra 10 HGVs and 20 trailers, taking its total authorisation to 90 lorries and 130 trailers.

Pegasus Grab Hire also increased its fleet by 10 lorries and two trailers and is now operating a total of 63 trucks and nine trailers.

Air cargo specialists Speed-Tech (UK) and Gregory Distribution also saw minor fleet increases.

Kier Integrated Services, GXO Logistics Drinks and Fedex Express UK Transportation all reduced their fleet sizes, with 20 HGVs taken off Kier’s licence and GXO reducing the number of trailers it operates by 190.

MT Fleet Data is based on the weekly O-licence updates issued by the office of the traffic commissioners.
