Commercial vehicle dealer group Motus Commercials has signed up tech specialist Efficiency IT to improve and modernise its communication platform.
The project will see EfficiencyIT deploy 8x8 Inc’s Unified Communications platform to improve customer service and retention rates, and drive operational and cost efficiencies across both Motus Commercials and Motus Vehicle Solutions - its specialist body shop, tail lift and vehicle parts supply business.
US firm 8x8 Inc products include cloud-based voice, contact centre, video, mobile and unified communications for businesses.
EfficiencyIT will also provide Motus with an integrated technology suite to drive workforce collaboration and optimisation and future-proof the businesses as hybrid working increases.
Motus Commercials sells and maintains commercial vehicle for brands including DAF Trucks, Fiat Professional, Ford Commercials, Isuzu Trucks, Isuzu Pick-Ups, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, and Maxus.
It employs 1,200 staff in the UK and has 30 offices across England, Scotland, and Wales. The company also has its own dedicated used van business, Motus Select.
Motus Vehicle Solutions (MVS) is the non-franchise branch of the group, which includes Truck & Trailer equipment, Humberside Tail Lifts, Parts4TailLifts, Mackworth Vehicle Conversions, Roco Truck Bodies RLP Distribution , and Training4TailLifts. MVS employs 120 people from six UK locations.
