Bristol-based Scrivin Logistics said it was so impressed with its new Krone trailers that it had immediately placed an additional order.

The company has been expanding its HGV fleet to meet growing demand and it also invested in two Krone Profi Liner trailers.

The curtainsiders come with the Krone’s Multi Lock side rave. Part of the multi safe load securing system, this is designed to reduce risk of loads becoming detached during transit. Scrivin Logistics said this was important as it carried goods ranging in size and scale – from arcade machines for events and conferences to high value aircraft parts.

Director and founder Simon Scrivin said: “We needed additional trailers to support our expansion and Krone was the ideal choice.

“We move a lot of high value and sensitive goods, primarily in and out of mainland Europe, so we needed versatile trailers that keep the loads secure.

“With Multi Lock we are not limited in how we can strap down the loads which is important to us as they can vary significantly in size and shape.”

The Multi Lock system has up to 126 strapping points on each side of the trailer, creating more than 3,000 options for securing the load.

Each strapping point has a two-tonne capacity, giving a maximum permissible load of eight tonnes over a one-metre length.

The Profi Liners for Scrivin also have a sliding roof, tail lifts, twin tool boxes and plank storage. The interior is lined with a 30mm thick waterproofed phenolic coated plywood floor.

“These are the first Krone trailers we have had, and we are very impressed,” Scrivin added. “They are a better build quality than the trailers we have had from another manufacturer.

“Krone trailers are more of a European spec build, which is exactly what we need.

“I have already placed an additional order for a box trailer and have another liner with a tail lift on order for later this year. I have also purchased a second-hand Krone trailer for the fleet. It’s a 2018 model and we’ve had no issues with it at all - they are very robust.”
