Multi-modal logistics service provider Kingscote Rojay (KRL) has acquired Republic Cargo Systems UK (RCS) in a deal it said strengthened its foothold in the logistics sector.
The integration of RCS UK into Palletways member KRL is expected to unlock new opportunities by leveraging shared expertise and resources; KRL added that it would also help expand its air and ocean freight capabilities.
Peter Phythian, representing the KRL board of directors, said: “RCS UK has built a strong reputation in air and ocean freight, and this acquisition presents an incredible opportunity to enhance our reach into key markets, including Europe, North America, and Asia.
“By bringing RCS UK into the KRL group, we can offer a more seamless, efficient service to our clients while expanding our presence in crucial trade corridors.

Phythian will also assume the role of MD at RCS UK.
While RCS UK will continue to trade under its existing brand, it will now function as part of the wider KRL group.
