Kodak, the graphic communications division of Eastman Kodak, has transferred all UK warehouse operations to Miniclipper Logistics as part of a £2m, two-year rolling contract.
The two companies have worked in partnership for the past two decades.
All logistics functions and a number of employees at Kodak have been transferred to Miniclipper as part of the contract, with Kodak closing its purpose built Watford warehouse.
Miniclipper has previously cross-docked goods from European manufacturing sites and delivered the freight from Watford.
Kodak staff will now be based at Miniclipper’s 55,000ft² facility in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire.
Services provided for Kodak from the site include a cold store for its entertainments imaging division. Film is despatched from Houghton Regis around the world for the motion picture industry. It also offers a guillotine operation for printing plates.
Miniclipper said that a “smooth transition” was achieved last month, with all orders successfully despatched on time on the first full day of operation.
