Heavy lift specialist Collett & Sons were named Road Transport Operator of the Year at the Logistics UK annual awards last night.

Presented by tousle-haired stand-up Milton Jones, the LUK awards were held at the Westminster Park Plaza hotel and sponsored by recruitment consultants Visku, formerly known as BiS Henderson.

Wincanton and Primark were highly commended in the road category and the title of Logistics Leader of the Year went to Tony Prescott, MD of GTS Logistics.
