All-electric vehicle rental company EVision Electric Vehicles has forged a strategic partnership with fleet decarbonisation technology provider Omility to help fleet operators move to electric vehicles with “clarity, speed and confidence”.
The collaboration brings together EVision’s flexible electric vehicle rental solutions and Omility’s data-driven transition platform. which gives fleet managers tailored, actionable insights based on real operational data.
Its software uses physics-based modelling to simulate the energy demand of fleet operations, including everything from payload weights and road gradients to weather and driver behaviour, to ensure the best real world performance.
The Omility platform crunches a fleet’s data on elements such as vehicle telemetry, route patterns and fuel usage to build a clear picture of the operator’s operations.
From there, it simulates how various low-emission alternatives, such as electric vehicles, would perform under the same conditions.
It also factors in charging requirements, identifying where infrastructure is needed - whether at depots, driver homes, or public locations - and how much energy will be drawn.
The platform can also model grid demand and tariff optimisation, to help fleet operators plan with confidence, and avoid unexpected costs.
Announcing the partnership, EVision said the collaboration offers fleets a path to electrification that pledges to remove guesswork, reduce upfront risk and ensure every vehicle chosen is fit-for-purpose from day one.
Omility’s solution can also assess the financial and environmental impact of fleet changes in a single dashboard. Fleet managers can explore different scenarios, such as, for example, upgrading 40% of their vans to electric, and immediately see projected costs, savings, payback periods and CO₂ reductions
As fleets grow, tariffs shift or vehicle models change, Omility also allows users to reconfigure plans dynamically, helping businesses stay responsive to both market and policy changes.
Owen Mabbott, Omility director, said: “The biggest challenge fleets face is not just switching to electric, it is knowing how to do itwithout disruption or regret.
“By partnering with EVision, we are making it easier foroperators to get the insights they need and the vehicles they need in one seamless experience.
“This is about smarter transitions, not just cleaner vehicles.”
Della King, EVision Electric Vehicles hire manager, added: “This partnership is not just about access to electric vehicles, it’s about access to the right electric vehicles, backed by real-world data and tailored planning.”
The benefits include:
- Data-led EV transition plans from Omility, tailored per vehicle, location and real-world routes
- Flexible EV rental options from EVision, including cars, vans and trucks
- ECO Telematics – deployed vehicles can be equipped with Omility’s ECO Telematics solution, providing real-world insight into usage and driving patterns
- No long-term commitments – just actionable insights and the right electric vehicles
- Faster, measurable impact – reduce emissions and test EVs in real-world conditions before investing
