Glass supplier Clayton Glass has signed its first ever contract hire deal with Fraikin and taken delivery of three new 18-tonne rigids, after a recommendation from one of its customers.

The 4x2 curtainside trucks replace existing vehicles in the fleet and join on a six-year, full-service agreement.

They’ll form part of an operation that processes 25,000 tonnes of glass and completes 30,000 deliveries across the UK each year.

Jonathan Bryan, group logistics manager at Clayton Glass, said: “We were really impressed by Fraikin’s professionalism and how quickly its team built a deep understanding of our operational needs. From our first conversation the whole process has been simple and straightforward.

“Hearing from another business on their positive experience with Fraikin gave us the confidence in both the service and support they can offer.”

Fraikin business development manager John Cooper said: “This agreement is a perfect demonstration of Fraikin’s ability to quickly respond to both existing and new customers’ needs. Now that we’re working together, we’re committed to supporting Clayton Glass’s fleet with reliable, tailored solutions.”
