A “markedly high level of registrations” has been reported ahead of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) annual conference in November.

Over 380 FORS accredited operators have registered to attend the 500-person capacity event at Birmingham's ICC on 2 November.

The conference organisers said the theme this year will be ‘building a resilient FORS community for the road ahead’ and will feature keynote speakers including DVSA’s director of enforcement, the senior traffic commissioner and Women in Transport’s Shireen Ali-khan.

Chaired by Andy Salter, MD of DVV Media International, which publishes Motor Transport, Commercial Motor and Freight Carbon Zero, presenters also include FORS Gold accredited operator Paul Fox at Fox Brothers, Mark Cartwright from National Highways and Rebecca Jenkins from consultants RJEN.

Subject matters will cover how the TCs are working to keep Great Britain’s roads safe; driving change in the fleet industry and introducing version 7 of the FORS standard.

FORS concession director Geraint Davies, said: “We know that operators face significant challenges, so we have worked hard to ensure this year’s conference agenda is packed with great speakers, and with content that will help operators navigate and, indeed, thrive in a tough operating environment.

“I’ll be describing what we’ve been up to over the last 12 months as we continue to deliver tangible change for operators and to improve the FORS accredited operator experience.”

The conference is free to attend for all FORS accredited operators. Further details about the event as well as the opportunity to confirm attendance can be found at https://forsannualconference.com/fors2023/en/page/home
