Fashion retail logistics firm Advanced Supply Chain Group (ASCG) is taking delivery of 35 new Evolution Renault trucks.
The 13-litre Renault T480s vehicles will make up 55% of ASCG’s fleet and have been supplied by Hexagon Leasing on contract lease.
The company said it had chosen the model for its environmental credentials and driver comfort.
Hexagon is also fleet managing the trucks, which were supplied to Hexagon by Renault Trucks dealership JDS Truck & Van
Trevor Fallas, ASCG group head of fleet and compliance, said: “Like everybody else, we are looking at reducing our carbon footprint and C02 emissions whilst keeping an eye on rising fuel costs, and the new Renault deals with all of that.

“We’ve chosen the Optifleet software in all of the trucks, which tracks driver behaviour and driving style, CO2 emissions, and fuel consumption. We’ve also taken into account our drivers’ needs; it’s their office and where they also rest and sleep.”
The company, which has sites in Halifax, Sheffield, Bradford and Corby, as well as a pilot site in Newhaven, monitors driver style on a daily basis and offers a bonus scheme to drivers hitting their targets.
Mark Griffiths, principal dealer at JDS Truck & Van said: “We are delighted to partner with Hexagon Leasing in the supply of 35 new Evolution Renault Truck 13-litre T480s to Advanced Supply Chain Group.
“The new Evolution range includes 3% fuel savings on the previous model and a host of other improvements including a new multi-directional steering column to set both the position and the tilt of the steering wheel, new modular seats, keyless stop/start and increased comfort and support in the 'Serenity” bunk'.”
He added: “It is also fitted with LED lights as standard and additional lights have also been positioned on the inside of the doors to illuminate the door sill for increased driver safety when getting in and out of the vehicle at night.”
