Leicester-based warehousing, pallet storage and order fulfilment specialist Glenfield Storage Solutions has called in the administrators, after struggling with “difficult trading conditions” which resulted in reduced occupancy of the site.
Anthony Collier and Simon Farr of FRP Advisory were appointed as the company’s joint administrators earlier this month.
Glenfield’s 16 employees have been retained to help with returning customers’ stock stored at the facility but will be made redundant once that task has been completed, the administrators have confirmed.
Agents, Sanderson Weatherall, will oversee the sale of the company’s plant and machinery.
Anthony Collier, said: “Glenfield Storage Solutions had been dealing with difficult trading conditions for some time, including reduced site occupancy and escalating cost pressures.
“Despite the best efforts of the directors to identify a viable solution, the business was no longer sustainable.
“Our focus now is on ensuring an orderly wind down of the company’s affairs and supporting employees and customers through the process.”
