DHL Supply Chain has extended its contract with electrical retailer Dixons Carphone, landing a new three-year deal worth £78m.
The contract will see DHL making deliveries to store for the company’s Currys and PC World brands and undertaking home delivery trunking to Dixons Carphone’s 16 customer service centres across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
The haulier said it will save Dixons Carphone “millions” with a redesigned network, projects to increase efficiency and collaborative initiatives.
These, said DHL, include a review which has reduced the number of vehicles on the road and increased load consolidation in Northern and Southern Ireland.
