Northampton-based Yusen Logistics (UK) has recruited David Goldsborough as managing director.
Goldsborough replaces Andy Fitt, who became managing director at Yusen Logistics UK in May 2018.
Fitt announced on LinkedIn this week that he was leaving Yusen after deciding to "move away from full time roles." He praised the Yusen Logistics UK team for "the turn-around you have delivered over the last five years.
"To come from where we were to a record year for every key business statistic this year is a testament to your hard work, and continued belief that we were on the right track. Thank you all," he added.
Yusen Logistics said that the appointment of Goldsborough as MD is part of a wider group strategy to strengthen the links between its largest European business and the rest of its European organisation.
Goldsborough, who joined Yusen in 2017, has worked at Yusen Logistics since the group acquired Tibbett Logistics in 2017 - now known as Yusen Logistics Romania - where he was promoted to managing director in 2020.
Previous posts include managing director of Tibbett & Britten Deutschland and chief executive of Delamode Logistics in Bucharest, Romania.
