Culina subsidiary Eventor has acquired events logistics haulier Stardes for an undisclosed sum as part of major plans to further expand in the events transport sector.
Eventor, formerly known as Stobart Special operations, provides support services to the motorsport, events and nuclear industries.
In an announcement revealing the deal this week, Eventor praised Stardes as a major player in the event logistics arena, with a strong track record of delivering seamless event solutions.
It added that Stardes will bring an "entrepreneurial spirit" to Eventor, whilst also benefitting from investment and job retention as part of the Culina Group.
David Simpson, director at Eventor, said: "The acquisition of Stardes by Eventor marks an exciting development for both businesses which are highly complementary in terms of their operations, reputation, and values.

Eventor is undergoing a major expansion of its specialist services and event support business, as part of a strategy which includes further acquisitions, the company said.
Key target sectors include high profile stadium tours, and general support services to the music industry, Other events in its sights include exhibitions, roadshows and one-off shows.
Simpson, who has twenty years of experience in the sector and headed Sobart's special operations division for ten years, said: "I am really excited to take Eventor forward. The event and specialist services sector has matured significantly over recent years.

Current Eventor projects are focused on the motorsport sector, including Formula 1, where Stobart Special Operations has been a major player for many years.
Services provided to the motorsport industry include transport, set-up, specialist on-site support, event break down, winter works, winter storage, technical maintenance and onward shipment.
Eventor also has a significant existing foothold in the nuclear sector with over 240 staff supporting nuclear functions around the UK.
