CG Utilities returns to MV Commercial for hot boxes and tippers

Installation specialist CG Utilities has sourced ten DAF CF450 32 tonne tippers and ten new DAF LF290 18 tonne hot box trucks from MV Commercial in response to the rapid expansion of its business.

The company operates nationwide on a wide range of utility projects, focusing mainly on the installation of fibre optic cabling for clients across multiple sectors.

Oli Gresham, CG Utilities transport manager, said: “After launching the business in 2020, we are experiencing rapid growth. We need the hot boxes and tippers to service our contracts and improve the efficiency of our operations across the UK.

“The tipper trucks and hot boxes are very popular with our drivers and also offer improved fuel efficiency over our existing fleet.”

The FORS-compliant tippers and hot boxes join the specialist contractor’s mixed fleet of 200 vehicles that includes transit tippers, transit box vans, transit MEWPs, Toyota Proace City vans and DAF beavertails.

The deal builds on CG Utilities’ growing relationship with MV Commercial, which recently supplied seven hot boxes and three refurbished tipper grabs to the Wiltshire-based company.
