Delivery firm DEXL, part of The APC network, said it had invested in its Cardiff site – enabling it to expand its overnight parcel collection and delivery services.
The investment in the 5,000sq ft site came after it experienced continued growth due to demand for parcel services from its customers.
DEXL services clients in the CF, DN and SK postcodes across South Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and Wales and employs 94 staff across the three sites.
It said that as well as the outlay, it had also introduced three new HGVs and seven EVs, which included vans and company cars, and it planned to boost the numbers further as part of its business strategy.
Aaron Cullumbine, commercial director at DEXL, said: “Local customer service has always been paramount to DEXL and The APC network. The APC network represents something different; allowing our customers to deliver nationwide, without losing the local customer service and support, which is so critical for many SME businesses. Our investment in the Cardiff site allows us to continue building on this ethos, helping local businesses across the region as they build for the future, providing them with fantastic service options and a dedicated local workforce.”
The APC’s chief executive Jonathan Smith added: “The Cardiff site and the investment into EVs will ensure customers continue to get improved, more efficient and more sustainable service options and I am confident that the commitment and entrepreneurialism that comes from the people within DEXL will ensure our customers continue to be served well now and in the future.”
