Somerset-based haulier C&D South West has boosted its fleet after signing a further two year deal with Devon-based manufacturer Arada Stoves.

The contract sees the two companies jointly commission two dual-branded curtain sides for a 3.5-tonne van and a 26-tonne rigid lorry that will be liveried with both brands.

Jon Butterworth, director at Arada Stoves, said: “Arada formally appointed C&D South West as our transport company of choice in 2016 and we’re delighted that our arrangement is to continue for another two years.

“Over the past five years C&D South West have moved from the position of a simple supplier to that of a valued business partner, helping Arada deliver an unmatched delivery experience for our customers, whether they are retail or consumer.

He added: “We have established a high degree of trust in C&D South West, and we know that they deliver a first-class service over all aspects of our relationship and underpin our growth strategy of delivering service excellence.

“The joint branding of the C&D vehicles gives us an incredible amount of exposure as their vehicles take our products to customers from our depot in Devon right across the UK, and we’re incredibly impressed with the way that they look.”

Lorna Hammond, MD of C&D South West, added: “Arada Stoves have been a much-loved client for many years now and it’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of the C&D team that has allowed our relationship to continue.

“Their products bear the hallmarks of being designed, engineered and built in Britain by people who take pride in a job well done, and it’s important that we here at C&D reflect these values throughout the entire transportation process, right up to the point of delivery.

“Having such a prestigious brand emblazoned on our vehicles is a demonstration of our commitment to each other’s future success and furthermore, creates exposure for the company that will undoubtedly drive sales.”
