Energy firm BP has launched a digital payments app for fleets in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Trucks.
BP InTruck Connect provides information on fuel purchases, mileage and other data to fleet managers and it said this would reduce the risk of discrepancies, as well as removing the need for drivers to enter mileage themselves.

The app also connects BP fuel cards with truck data, which it said would boost security by identifying any volume discrepancies by analysing fuel dispensed via pump against fuel that went into the truck tank.
Alexandru Eftimiu, VP Fleet Europe at BP, said: “BP InTruck Connect simplifies the refuelling process and makes it efficient and easy for both drivers and managers, saving time and giving them greater clarity over their fuel purchases.”
