Transport Minister Baroness Vere (pictured) will discuss the importance of the road freight industry for driving economic growth at a transport conference in May.

She is expected to talk about the need for a stronger and more diverse talent pipeline in the sector and will also refer to government funding and other support for companies that aim to address the current driver shortage when she makes her virtual presentation at the Microlise Transport Conference.
