Logistics group Arcese UK said the outlook for 2026 was “buoyant” after strengthening its position in the market, and it remained optimistic over future growth prospects.
The comments came in its latest financial results for the year ending 31 December 2025, which showed pre-tax profit remained almost unchanged at £1.1m.
Turnover reduced by just over £3m to £29.7m in the period; however, the group improved gross profit margins to 39.9% last year, up from 38.8% in 2024, which it said was achieved through controlling fixed and variable costs and retaining contract work with stronger margins.
UK revenues accounted for £23.6m of the total, with its European work generating £6.1m.
The continued downward trend in its industrial and automotive businesses reduced by 15.5% during the period compared to 2024 and was only partially compensated by an increase of 1.5% in its fashion work.
The company added that it continued to lease trailers through the Arcese Group, as well as owning and operating its UK distribution fleet.
“The business remains optimistic for its future positive trading and growth, investing in its security infrastructure, sales force and accreditations with customs and government bodies,” Arcese UK said.
“The business is prudent for its future due to general economic slowdown and the geopolitical uncertainty.”
