EV and business expense payment firm Allstar has inked a deal with European charging company Fastned to allow its customers to use Fastned’s network of high-power chargers across the UK.
This latest deal enables commercial business drivers using the Allstar One Electric solution to find, charge and pay at Fastned’s EV charging network.
It closely follows partnerships recently signed with EVYVE, Fuuse and InstaVolt. Allstar said this week more network deals are in the pipeline.
The arrangement between Fastned and Allstar, which is part of Fleetcor, will see the number of fast charge points in Allstar’s network increase to over 6,000.
This takes the total number of charge points accessible through the Allstar network to over 11,000 at more than 4,000 locations across the UK, of which 94% of chargers are fast, rapid, and ultra-rapid.
Fastned was ranked the best joint charge point operator in the UK in 2022, according to Zapmap users. It recently installed its 14th station in the UK in East Anglia, featuring six 300kW charging bays, with more in the pipeline for this year.

The company boasts over 265 stations across the UK and mainland Europe, with more than 1,300 charge points capable of adding up to 300 miles of range in just 20 minutes.
All of Fastned’s chargers are powered by solar and wind renewable energy, supported by solar panels installed on the canopies of its charging stations, making them a sustainable choice for drivers.
Allstar is on a drive to ramp up its charging network roll out, as sales of EVs in the UK continue to surge. According to Allstar partner, ZapMap, which provides a charge point mapping service, the number of UK EVs registered in 2023 so far is already 18% higher than for the whole of 2022.
Commenting on the partnership, Tom Rowlands, Fleetcor managing director of global EV solutions, said: "We’re excited to partner with Fastned to expand our EV charging network.
"The company is a leading player in the European fast charging market, and their high-powered chargers will provide our drivers with even more convenient and reliable charging options across the UK.”
Tom Hurst, Fastned UK country manager, added: “Our mission is to give freedom to electric drivers and accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility, which is why we’re delighted to partner with Allstar to give drivers in the UK even more choice when it comes to charging their vehicles.”
