Palletline Logistics (Midlands) has lost its battle for survival and ceased to trade.
The Birmingham-based haulier had entered into a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) last May, after encountering cash flow problems that stemmed from errors in reporting its operating figures to its lenders.
Palletline Logistics (Midlands) MD Bob Russett was a founder member of the pallet network that shares a similar name, and its chairman until 2005.
Palletline Logistics (Midlands) is a separate legal entity to Palletline Plc, operated under separate private ownership.
The network has invited members Taskforce Movement and Storage and Panic Transport (Contracts) to take on some additional delivery area in Birmingham.
It has also recruited a new member, Global Logistics Central, to provide the cover for the balance of the area made available.
Kevin Buchanan, MD of Palletline Plc, said: “Though we did everything we could to support Palletline Logistics through its CVA the business was unfortunately unable to turn things round and has regretfully entered administration.
“Palletline Plc’s focus now, of course, is on ensuring our service levels for customers are maintained without disruption.”
