Suttons Tankers has made two new appointments to strengthen its senior management team.
Gary Oliver (pictured left) has moved from DX Network Services to take up the role of operations director West, replacing Roger Parr (pictured right) who has become commercial director.
Since 2010, Oliver had worked as regional director and operations director at DX and he will now work with Steve Hassall, operations director East at Suttons.
Oliver will be responsible for leading the business strategy, objectives and performance at Suttons’ Widnes, Eastham and Willenhall depots.
The appointments came as the latest financial results for Suttons Tankers showed that turnover fell 14.3% to £70m (2017: £82m) in the year ending 30 April 2018.
Pre-tax profit increased from £203,965 to £1.5m during the period.

In its review of the business, the company said it was continuing to evolve its operating model to reflect changes in its customer base and in the nature of some of its contracts.
“The division continued to invest in its fleet with the delivery of 132 new tractor units during the year and the placing of orders for a further 72 to be delivered in the next year,” it said.
“These have led to improved fuel efficiency and reduced carbon emissions.
“The company invested a total of £11.4m in the new UK road assets and improvements to its depot network during the year,” it added.
