A new electric charge-point facilitator has entered the UK market, claiming its arrival will make finding public charging points for electric vehicles much easier.
The New Motion app, from the company of the same name, can be used to track down the nearest charge point, with initial locations in London, Birmingham and Manchester.
The company has claimed that with more than 30,000 charge points signed up throughout Continental Europe, it has created Europe’s largest public electric vehicle charging network, expertise it has now brought to the UK.
The app itself allows private or corporate users to locate charging stations and manage all online billings and settlements via their phone.
Although inevitably focused around electric car users, a spokesman for the company said its new app should work well just as well for those running electric-powered commercial vehicles.
