Founded in 1945, the RHA has been supporting hauliers for nearly 80 years and currently boasts over 8,500 members.

Through their work with government, policy makers and local authorities, they offer a voice for members and provide a huge range of technical and professional services to help operators comply with industry regulations and assist them in running their businesses efficiently.

Their membership has developed substantially over the years, with options now available for coach and van operators, alongside a range of specialist packages created for professionals and businesses operating in the sector.

You don’t have to be an operator of vehicles to join the trade body. Their individual and professional packages give people working in the sector, such as Transport Managers, access to latest information, industry-leading guidance and equips them with the tools required to carry out their legal duties.

Professional membership is designed to nurture and support logistics professionals but would also benefit technically qualified personnel from other transport related industries such as air, rail and sea. Individual membership is ideal for those with a more general interest in the sector who wish to stay updated and informed.

Associate membership, on the other hand, is a valuable opportunity for businesses to raise their profile within the sector, offering them a unique opportunity to advertise products or services to RHA members and become part of a wider community of operators and industry professionals.

With access to over eight thousand members, associate membership can help businesses to grow their client base and better understand their customers’ needs and challenges.

Steve Ellis, Marketing Manager at SNAP Account, who are Gold Associate Members, said: “SNAP Account have been a Gold Associate Member for a number of years. We find working with the RHA a perfect audience to reach out to a wide variety of operators from owner operators through to some of the largest operators in the UK and Europe.”

Associate members have long played an important role within the RHA. They provide the tools, products, services and expertise that keep RHA members’ wheels turning.

Gold associates can benefit from the ability to attend in-person RHA member briefings and join regional and sub-regional meetings as a delegate, which are an opportunity to network with road transport professionals.

Other benefits include a copy of the RHA Operators Handbook, discounted exhibition space at the CV show, inclusion on all legislation and policy updates, access to the RHA Helpdesk, policy team, cost reports, fuel reports, discounted advertising rates, and an invitation to the RHA’s annual parliamentary reception.
