Clipper Logistics has announced the refurbishment of its 225,000ft² warehouse in Didcot to service Asda’s multichannel general merchandise operation.
The refurbishment will increase the site’s capacity, allowing the retailer to offer an extended range of products via the Asda Direct website, said Clipper.
The announcement builds on the longstanding relationship between the two parties, which includes a 10-year deal signed last autumn for import deconsolidation work on the Asda George clothing range at Clipper’s 800,000ft² facility in Wynyard Park.
Paul Anastasiou, head of development for Asda Logistics Services, said the Didcot refurbishment would provide “significant capacity and capability in a rapidly expanding area of our business.”
