E-commerce delivery firm InPost said schuh and New Look had become the latest brands to sign up to its QR code returns service ‘Instant Returns’.

The service was recently launched to make the returns process quicker and easier for consumers by removing the need for shoppers to print a label.

Instead, they scan a parcel’s QR code at an InPost locker and drop the item off.

Fashion retailer Misssguided was one of the first to sign up to the solution.

InPost said the paperless solution was likely to appeal to “a more tech savvy, younger cohort of shoppers” which it dubbed the printerless generation.

Jason Tavaria, chief executive of InPost UK, said: “We’re on a mission to make the returns process as easy as possible for both retailers and their customers thus bringing the high street convenience online.”

Alice Cleary, schuh chief marketing officer, said: “As a business we are constantly looking for ways to operate more sustainably and minimise wastage, so the fact Instant Returns is paperless with no need for a printer means it’s the perfect fit for schuh.”
